Chapter 65: Surah At Talaq (The Divorce) - Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Sudais

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
65:1 O Prophet! When ye do divorce women, divorce them at their prescribed periods, and count (accurately), their prescribed periods: And fear God your Lord: and turn them not out of their houses, nor shall they (themselves) leave, except in case they are guilty of some open lewdness, those are limits set by God: and any who transgresses the limits of God, does verily wrong his (own) soul: thou knowest not if perchance God will bring about thereafter some new situation.
65:2 Thus when they fulfil their term appointed, either take them back on equitable terms or part with them on equitable terms; and take for witness two persons from among you, endued with justice, and establish the evidence (as) before God. Such is the admonition given to him who believes in God and the Last Day. And for those who fear God, He (ever) prepares a way out,
65:3 And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if any one puts his trust in God, sufficient is (God) for him. For God will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all things has God appointed a due proportion.
65:4 Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same): for those who carry (life within their wombs), their period is until they deliver their burdens: and for those who fear God, He will make their path easy.
65:5 That is the Command of God, which He has sent down to you: and if any one fears God, He will remove his ills, from him, and will enlarge his reward.
65:6 Let the women live (in 'iddat) in the same style as ye live, according to your means: Annoy them not, so as to restrict them. And if they carry (life in their wombs), then spend (your substance) on them until they deliver their burden: and if they suckle your (offspring), give them their recompense: and take mutual counsel together, according to what is just and reasonable. And if ye find yourselves in difficulties, let another woman suckle (the child) on the (father's) behalf.
65:7 Let the man of means spend according to his means: and the man whose resources are restricted, let him spend according to what God has given him. God puts no burden on any person beyond what He has given him. After a difficulty, God will soon grant relief.
65:8 How many populations that insolently opposed the Command of their Lord and of His apostles, did We not then call to account,- to severe account?- and We imposed on them an exemplary Punishment.
65:9 Then did they taste the evil result of their conduct, and the End of their conduct was Perdition.
65:10 God has prepared for them a severe Punishment (in the Hereafter). Therefore fear God, O ye men of understanding - who have believed!- for God hath indeed sent down to you a Message,-
65:11 An Apostle, who rehearses to you the Signs of God containing clear explanations, that he may lead forth those who believe and do righteous deeds from the depths of Darkness into Light. And those who believe in God and work righteousness, He will admit to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein for ever: God has indeed granted for them a most excellent Provision.
65:12 God is He Who created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number. Through the midst of them (all) descends His Command: that ye may know that God has power over all things, and that God comprehends, all things in (His) Knowledge.

Chapter 48: Surah Al Fath (The Victory) - Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Sudais & Sheikh Su'ud Shuraim

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
48:1 Surely We have given to you a clear victory
48:2 That Allah may forgive your community their past faults and those to follow and complete His favor to you and keep you on a right way,
48:3 And that Allah might help you with a mighty help.
48:4 He it is Who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers that they might have more of faith added to their faith-- and Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is Knowing, Wise--
48:5 That He may cause the believing men and the believing women to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein and remove from them their evil; and that is a grand achievement with Allah
48:6 And (that) He may punish the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women, and the polytheistic men and the polytheistic women, the entertainers of evil thoughts about Allah. On them is the evil turn, and Allah is wroth with them and has cursed them and prepared hell for them, and evil is the resort.
48:7 And Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.
48:8 Surely We have sent you as a witness and as a bearer of good news and as a warner,
48:9 That you may believe in Allah and His Apostle and may aid him and revere him; and (that) you may declare His glory, morning and evening.
48:10 Surely those who swear allegiance to you do but swear allegiance to Allah; the hand of Allah is above their hands. Therefore whoever breaks (his faith), he breaks it only to the injury of his own soul, and whoever fulfills what he has covenanted with Allah, He will grant him a mighty reward.
48:11 Those of the dwellers of the desert who were left behind will say to you: Our property and our families kept us busy, so ask forgiveness for us. They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: Then who can control anything for you from Allah if He intends to do you harm or if He intends to do you good; nay, Allah is Aware of what you do:
48:12 Nay! you rather thought that the Apostle and the believers would not return to their families ever, and that was made fairseeming to your hearts and you thought an evil thought and you were a people doomed to perish.
48:13 And whoever does not believe in Allah and His Apostle, then surely We have prepared burning fire for the unbelievers.
48:14 And Allah's is the kingdom. of the heavens and the earth; He forgives whom He pleases and punishes whom He pleases, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
48:15 Those who are left behind will say when you set forth for the gaining of acquisitions: Allow us (that) we may follow you. They desire to change the world of Allah. Say: By no means shall you follow us; thus did Allah say before. But they will say: Nay! you are jealous of us. Nay! they do not understand but a little.
48:16 Say to those of the dwellers of the desert who were left behind: You shall soon be invited (to fight) against a people possessing mighty prowess; you will fight against them until they submit; then if you obey, Allah will grant you a good reward; and if you turn back as you turned back before, He will punish you with a painful punishment.
48:17 There is no harm in the blind, nor is there any harm in the lame, nor is there any harm in the sick (if they do not go forth); and whoever obeys Allah and His Apostle, He will cause him to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, and whoever turns back, He will punish him with a painful punishment.
48:18 Certainly Allah was well pleased with the believers when they swore allegiance to you under the tree, and He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquillity on them and rewarded them with a near victory,
48:19 And many acquisitions which they will take; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.
48:20 Allah promised you many acquisitions which you will take, then He hastened on this one for you and held back the hands of men from you, and that it may be a sign for the believers and that He may guide you on a right path.
48:21 And others which you have not yet been able to achieve Allah has surely encompassed them, and Allah has power over all things.
48:22 And if those who disbelieve fight with you, they would certainly turn (their) backs, then they would not find any protector or a helper.
48:23 Such has been the course of Allah that has indeed run before, and you shall not find a change in Allah's course.
48:24 And He it is Who held back their hands from you and your hands from them in the valley of Mecca after He had given you victory over them; and Allah is Seeing what you do.
48:25 It is they who disbelieved and turned you away from the Sacred Mosque and (turned off) the offering withheld from arriving at its destined place; and were it not for the believing men and the believing women, whom, not having known, you might have trodden down, and thus something hateful might have afflicted you on their account without knowledge-- so that Allah may cause to enter into His mercy whomsoever He pleases; had they been widely separated one from another, We would surely have punished those who disbelieved from among them with a painful punishment.
48:26 When those who disbelieved harbored in their hearts (feelings of) disdain, the disdain of (the days of) ignorance, but Allah sent down His tranquillity on His Apostle and on the believers, and made them keep the word of guarding (against evil), and they were entitled to it and worthy of it; and Allah is Cognizant of all things.
48:27 Certainly Allah had shown to His Apostle the vision with truth: you shall most certainly enter the Sacred Mosque, if Allah pleases, in security, (some) having their heads shaved and (others) having their hair cut, you shall not fear, but He knows what you do not know, so He brought about a near victory before that.
48:28 He it is Who sent His Apostle with the guidance and the true religion that He may make it prevail over all the religions; and Allah is enough for a witness.
48:29 Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah, and those with him are firm of heart against the unbelievers, compassionate among themselves; you will see them bowing down, prostrating themselves, seeking grace from Allah and pleasure; their marks are in their faces because of the effect of prostration; that is their description in the Taurat and their description in the Injeel; like as seed-produce that puts forth its sprout, then strengthens it, so it becomes stout and stands firmly on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the unbelievers on account of them; Allah has promised those among them who believe and do good, forgiveness and a great reward.

Chapter 45: Surah Jathiyah (The Kneeling) - Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Sudais

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
45:1 Ha Mim.
45:2 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.
45:3 Most surely in the heavens and the earth there are signs for the believers.
45:4 And in your (own) creation and in what He spreads abroad of animals there are signs for a people that are sure;
45:5 And (in) the variation of the night and the day, and (in) what Allah sends down of sustenance from the cloud, then gives life thereby to the earth after its death, and (in) the changing of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand.
45:6 These are the communications of Allah which We recite to you with truth; then in what announcement would they believe after Allah and His communications?
45:7 Woe to every sinful liar,
45:8 Who hears the communications of Allah recited to him, then persists proudly as though he had not heard them; so announce to him a painful punishment.
45:9 And when he comes to know of any of Our communications, he takes it for a jest; these it is that shall have abasing chastisement.
45:10 Before them is hell, and there shall not avail them aught of what they earned, nor those whom they took for guardians besides Allah, and they shall have a grievous punishment.
45:11 This is guidance; and (as for) those who disbelieve in the communications of their Lord, they shall have a painful punishment on account of uncleanness.
45:12 Allah is He Who made subservient to you the sea that the ships may run therein by His command, and that you may seek of His grace, and that you may give thanks.
45:13 And He has made subservient to you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, all, from Himself; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.
45:14 Say to those who believe (that) they forgive those who do not fear the days of Allah that He may reward a people for what they earn.
45:15 Whoever does good, it is for his own soul, and whoever does evil, it is against himself; then you shall be brought back to your-- Lord.
45:16 And certainly We gave the Book and the wisdom and the prophecy to the children of Israel, and We gave them of the goodly things, and We made them excel the nations.
45:17 And We gave them clear arguments in the affair, but they did not differ until after knowledge had come to them out of envy among themselves; surely your -Lord will judge between them on the day of resurrection concerning that wherein they differed.
45:18 Then We have made you follow a course in the affair, therefore follow it, and do not follow the low desires of those who do not know.
45:19 Surely they shall not avail you in the least against Allah; and surely the unjust are friends of each other, and Allah is the guardian of those who guard (against evil).
45:20 These are clear proofs for men, and a guidance and a mercy for a people who are sure.
45:21 Nay! do those who have wrought evil deeds think that We will make them like those who believe and do good-- that their life and their death shall be equal? Evil it is that they judge.
45:22 And Allah created the heavens and the earth with truth and that every soul may be rewarded for what it has earned and they shall not be wronged.
45:23 Have you then considered him who takes his low desire for his god, and Allah has made him err having knowledge and has set a seal upon his ear and his heart and put a covering upon his eye. Who can then guide him after Allah? Will you not then be mindful?
45:24 And they say: There is nothing but our life in this world; we live and die and nothing destroys us but time, and they have no knowledge of that; they only conjecture.
45:25 And when Our clear communications are recited to them, their argument is no other than that they say: Bring our fathers (back) if you are truthful.
45:26 Say: Allah gives you life, then He makes you die, then will He gather you to the day of resurrection wherein is no doubt, but most people do not know.
45:27 And Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and on the day when the hour shall come to pass, on that day shall they perish who say false things.
45:28 And you shall see every nation kneeling down; every nation shall be called to its book: today you shall be rewarded for what you did.
45:29 This is Our book that speaks against you with justice; surely We wrote what you did,
45:30 Then as to those who believed and did good, their Lord will make them enter into His mercy; that is the manifest achievement.
45:31 As to those who disbelieved: What! were not My communications recited to you? But you were proud and you were a guilty people.
45:32 And when it was said, Surely the promise of Allah is true and as for the hour, there is no doubt about it, you said: We do not know what the hour is; we do not think (that it will come to pass) save a passing thought, and we are not at all sure.
45:33 And the evil (consequences) of what they did shall become manifest to them and that which they mocked shall encompass them.
45:34 And it shall be said: Today We forsake you as you neglected the meeting of this day of yours and your abode is the fire, and there are not for you any helpers:
45:35 That is because you took the communications of Allah for a jest and the life of this world deceived you. So on that day they shall not be brought forth from it, nor shall they be granted goodwill.
45:36 Therefore to Allah is due (all) praise, the Lord of the heavens and the Lord of the earth, the Lord of the worlds.
45:37 And to Him belongs greatness in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

Chapter 57: Surah Al Hadid (Iron) - Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Sudais

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
57:1 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth declares the glory of Allah, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
57:2 His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and causes death; and He has power over all things.
57:3 He is the First and the Last and the Ascendant (over all) and the Knower of hidden things, and He is Cognizant of all things.
57:4 He it is who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, and He is firm in power; He knows that which goes deep down into the earth and that which comes forth out of it, and that which comes down from the heaven and that which goes up into it, and He is with you wherever you are; and Allah sees what you do.
57:5 His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and to Allah are (all) affairs returned.
57:6 He causes the night to enter in upon the day, and causes the day to enter in upon the night, and He is Cognizant of what is in the hearts.
57:7 Believe in Allah and His Apostle, and spend out of what He has made you to be successors of; for those of you who believe and spend shall have a great reward.
57:8 And what reason have you that you should not believe in Allah? And the Apostle calls on you that you may believe in your Lord, and indeed He has made a covenant with you if you are believers.
57:9 He it is who sends down clear communications upon His servant, that he may bring you forth from utter darkness into light; and most surely Allah is Kind, Merciful to you.
57:10 And what reason have you that you should not spend in Allah's way? And Allah's is the inheritance of the heavens and the earth, not alike among you are those who spent before the victory and fought (and those who did not): they are more exalted in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards; and Allah has promised good to all; and Allah is Aware of what you do.
57:11 Who is there that will offer to Allah a good gift so He will double it for him, and he shall have an excellent reward.
57:12 On that day you will see the faithful men and the faithful women-- their light running before them and on their right hand-- good news for you today: gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein, that is the grand achievement.
57:13 On the day when the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women will say to those who believe: Wait for us, that we may have light from your light; it shall be said: Turn back and seek a light. Then separation would be brought about between them, with a wall having a door in it; (as for) the inside of it, there shall be mercy in it, and (as for) the outside of it, before it there shall be punishment.
57:14 They will cry out to them: Were we not with you? They shall say: Yea! but you caused yourselves to fall into temptation, and you waited and doubted, and vain desires deceived you till the threatened punishment of Allah came, while the archdeceiver deceived you about Allah.
57:15 So today ransom shall not be accepted from you nor from those who disbelieved; your abode is the fire; it is your friend and evil is the resort.
57:16 Has not the time yet come for those who believe that their hearts should be humble for the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And ~that) they should not be like those who were given the Book before, but the time became prolonged to them, so their hearts hardened, and most of them are transgressors.
57:17 Know that Allah gives life to the earth after its death; indeed, We have made the communications clear to you that you may understand.
57:18 Surely (as for) the charitable men and the charitable women and (those who) set apart for Allah a goodly portion, it shall be doubled for them and they shall have a noble reward.
57:19 And (as for) those who believe in Allah and His apostles, these it is that are the truthful and the faithful ones in the sight of their Lord: they shall have their reward and their light, and (as for) those who disbelieve and reject Our communications, these are the inmates of the hell.
57:20 Know that this world's life is only sport and play and gaiety and boasting among yourselves, and a vying in the multiplication of wealth and children, like the rain, whose causing the vegetation to grow, pleases the husbandmen, then it withers away so that you will see it become yellow, then it becomes dried up and broken down; and in the hereafter is a severe chastisement and (also) forgiveness from Allah and (His) pleasure; and this world's life is naught but means of deception.
57:21 Hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and to a garden the extensiveness of which is as the extensiveness of the heaven and the earth; it is prepared for those who believe in Allah and His apostles; that is the grace of Allah: He gives it to whom He pleases, and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace.
57:22 No evil befalls on the earth nor in your own souls, but it is in a book before We bring it into existence; surely that is easy to Allah:
57:23 So that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor be exultant at what He has given you; and Allah does not love any arrogant boaster:
57:24 Those who are niggardly and enjoin niggardliness on men; and whoever turns back, then surely Allah is He Who is the Selfsufficient, the Praised.
57:25 Certainly We sent Our apostles with clear arguments, and sent down with them the Book and the balance that men may conduct themselves with equity; and We have made the iron, wherein is great violence and advantages to men, and that Allah may know who helps Him and His apostles in the secret; surely Allah is Strong, Mighty.
57:26 And certainly We sent Nuh and Ibrahim and We gave to their offspring the (gift of) prophecy and the Book; so there are among them those who go aright, and most of them are transgressors.
57:27 Then We made Our apostles to follow in their footsteps, and We sent Isa son of Marium afterwards, and We gave him the Injeel, and We put in the hearts of those who followed him kindness and mercy; and (as for) monkery, they innovated it-- We did not prescribe it to them-- only to seek Allah's pleasure, but they did not observe it with its due observance; so We gave to those of them who believed their reward, and most of them are transgressors.
57:28 O you who believe! be careful of (your duty to) Allah and believe in His Apostle: He will give you two portions of His mercy, and make for you a light with which you will walk, and forgive you, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful;
57:29 So that the followers of the Book may know that they do not control aught of the grace of Allah, and that grace is m Allah's hand, He gives it to whom He pleases; and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace.

Chapter 39: Surah Az Zumar - Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Sudais & Sheikh Su'ud Shuraim

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
39:1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.
39:2 Surely We have revealed to you the Book with the truth, therefore serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience.
39:3 Now, surely, sincere obedience is due to Allah (alone) and (as for) those who take guardians besides Him, (saying), We do not serve them save that they may make us nearer to Allah, surely Allah will judge between them in that in which they differ; surely Allah does not guide him aright who is a liar, ungrateful.
39:4 If Allah desire to take a son to Himself, He will surely choose those He pleases from what He has created. Glory be to Him: He is Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all).
39:5 He has created the heavens and the earth with the truth; He makes the night cover the day and makes the day overtake the night, and He has made the sun and the moon subservient; each one runs on to an assigned term; now surely He is the Mighty, the great Forgiver.
39:6 He has created you from a single being, then made its mate of the same (kind), and He has made for you eight of the cattle in pairs. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers-- a creation after a creation-- in triple darkness; that is Allah your Lord, His is the kingdom; there is no god but He; whence are you then turned away?
39:7 If you are ungrateful, then surely Allah is Self-sufficient above all need of you; and He does not like ungratefulness in His servants; and if you are grateful, He likes it in you; and no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another; then to your Lord is your return, then will He inform you of what you did; surely He is Cognizant of what is in the breasts.
39:8 And when distress afflicts a man he calls upon his Lord turning to Him frequently; then when He makes him possess a favor from Him, he forgets that for which he called upon Him before, and sets up rivals to Allah that he may cause (men) to stray off from His path. Say: Enjoy yourself in your ungratefulness a little, surely you are of the inmates of the fire.
39:9 What! he who is obedient during hours of the night, prostrating himself and standing, takes care of the hereafter and hopes for the mercy of his Lord! Say: Are those who know and those who do not know alike? Only the men of understanding are mindful.
39:10 Say: O my servants who believe! be careful of (your duty to) your Lord; for those who do good in this world is good, and Allah's earth is spacious; only the patient will be paid back their reward in full without measure.
39:11 Say: I am commanded that I should serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience.
39:12 And I am commanded that I shall be the first of those who submit.
39:13 Say: I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the chastisement of a grievous day.
39:14 Say: Allah (it is Whom) I serve, being sincere to Him in my obedience:
39:15 Serve then what you like besides Him. Say: The losers surely are those who shall have lost themselves and their families on the day of resurrection; now surely that is the clear loss.
39:16 They shall have coverings of fire above them and coverings beneath them; with that Allah makes His servants to fear, so be careful of (your duty to) Me, O My servants!
39:17 And (as for) those who keep off from the worship of the idols and turn to Allah, they shall have good news, therefore give good news to My servants,
39:18 Those who listen to the word, then follow the best of it; those are they whom Allah has guided, and those it is who are the men of understanding.
39:19 What! as for him then against whom the sentence of chastisement is due: What! can you save him who is in the fire?
39:20 But (as for) those who are careful of (their duty to) their Lord, they shall have high places, above them higher places, built (for them), beneath which flow rivers; (this is) the promise of Allah: Allah will not fail in (His) promise.
39:21 Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the cloud, then makes it go along in the earth in springs, then brings forth therewith herbage of various colors, then it withers so that you see it becoming yellow, then He makes it a thing crushed and broken into pieces? Most surely there is a reminder in this for the men of understanding.
39:22 What! is he whose heart Allah has opened for Islam so that he is in a light from his Lord (like the hard-hearted)? Nay, woe to those whose hearts are hard against the remembrance of Allah; those are in clear error.
39:23 Allah has revealed the best announcement, a book conformable in its various parts, repeating, whereat do shudder the skins of those who fear their Lord, then their skins and their hearts become pliant to the remembrance of Allah; this is Allah's guidance, He guides with it whom He pleases; and (as for) him whom Allah makes err, there is no guide for him.
39:24 Is he then who has to guard himself with his own person against the evil chastisement on the resurrection day? And it will be said to the unjust: Taste what you earned.
39:25 Those before them rejected (prophets), therefore there came to them the chastisement from whence they perceived not.
39:26 So Allah made them taste the disgrace in this world's life, and certainly the punishment of the hereafter is greater; did they but know!
39:27 And certainly We have set forth to men in this Quran similitudes of every sort that they may mind.
39:28 An Arabic Quran without any crookedness, that they may guard (against evil).
39:29 Allah sets forth an example: There is a slave in whom are (several) partners differing with one another, and there is another slave wholly owned by one man. Are the two alike in condition? (All) praise is due to Allah. Nay! most of them do not know.
39:30 Surely you shall die and they (too) shall surely die.
39:31 Then surely on the day of resurrection you will contend one with another before. your Lord.
39:32 Who is then more unjust than he who utters a lie against Allah and (he who) gives the lie to the truth when it comes to him; is there not in hell an abode for the unbelievers?
39:33 And he who brings the truth and (he who) accepts it as the truth-- these are they that guard (against evil).
39:34 They shall have with their Lord what they please; that is the reward of the doers of good;
39:35 So that Allah will do away with the worst of what they did and give them their reward for the best of what they do.
39:36 Is not Allah sufficient for His servant? And they seek to frighten you with those besides Him; and whomsoever Allah makes err, there is no guide for him.
39:37 And whom Allah guides, there is none that can lead him astray; is not Allah Mighty, the Lord of retribution?
39:38 And should you ask them, Who created the heavens and the earth? They would most certainly say: Allah. Say: Have you then considered that what you call upon besides Allah, would they, if Allah desire to afflict me with harm, be the removers of His harm, or (would they), if Allah desire to show me mercy, be the withholders of His mercy? Say: Allah is sufficient for me; on Him do the reliant rely.
39:39 Say: O my people! work in your place, surely I am a worker, so you will come to know.
39:40 Who it is to whom there shall come a punishment which will disgrace him and to whom will be due a lasting punishment.
39:41 Surely We have revealed to you the Book with the truth for the sake of men; so whoever follows the right way, it is for his own soul and whoever errs, he errs only to its detriment; and you are not a custodian over them.
39:42 Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that die not during their sleep; then He withholds those on whom He has passed the decree of death and sends the others back till an appointed term; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.
39:43 Or have they taken intercessors besides Allah? Say: what! even though they did not ever have control over anything, nor do they understand.
39:44 Say: Allah's is the intercession altogether; His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, then to Him you shall be brought back.
39:45 And when Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the hereafter shrink, and when those besides Him are mentioned, lo! they are joyful.
39:46 Say: O Allah! Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen! Thou (only) judgest between Thy servants as to that wherein they differ.
39:47 And had those who are unjust all that is in the earth and the like of it with it, they would certainly offer it as ransom (to be saved) from the evil of the punishment on the day of resurrection; and what they never thought of shall become plain to them from Allah.
39:48 And the evil (consequences) of what they wrought shall become plain to them, and the very thing they mocked at shall beset them.
39:49 So when harm afflicts a man he calls upon Us; then, when We give him a favor from Us, he says: I have been given it only by means of knowledge. Nay, it is a trial, but most of them do not know.
39:50 Those before them did say it indeed, but what they earned availed them not.
39:51 So there befell them the evil (consequences) of what they earned; and (as for) those who are unjust from among these, there shall befall them the evil (consequences) of what they earn, and they shall not escape.
39:52 Do they not know that Allah makes ample the means of subsistence to whom He pleases, and He straitens; most surely there are signs in this for a people who believe.
39:53 Say: O my servants! who have acted extravagantly against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah; surely Allah forgives the faults altogether; surely He is the Forgiving the Merciful.
39:54 And return to your Lord time after time and submit to Him before there comes to you the punishment, then you shall not be helped.
39:55 And follow the best that has been revealed to you from your Lord before there comes to you the punishment all of a sudden while you do not even perceive;
39:56 Lest a soul should say: O woe to me! for what I fell short of my duty to Allah, and most surely I was of those who laughed to scorn;
39:57 Or it should say: Had Allah guided me, I would certainly have been of those who guard (against evil);
39:58 Or it should say when it sees the punishment: Were there only a returning for me, I should be of the doers of good.
39:59 Aye! My communications came to you, but you rejected them, and you were proud and you were one of the unbelievers.
39:60 And on the day of resurrection you shall see those who lied against Allah; their faces shall be blackened. Is there not in hell an abode for the proud?
39:61 And Allah shall deliver those who guard (against evil) with their achievement; evil shall not touch them, nor shall they grieve.
39:62 Allah is the Creator of every thing and He has charge over every thing.
39:63 His are the treasures of the heavens and the earth; and (as for) those who disbelieve in the communications of Allah, these it is that are the losers.
39:64 Say: What! Do you then bid me serve others than Allah, O ignorant men?
39:65 And certainly, it has been revealed to you and to those before you: Surely if you associate (with Allah), your work would certainly come to naught and you would certainly be of the losers.
39:66 Nay! but serve Allah alone and be of the thankful.
39:67 And they have not honored Allah with the honor that is due to Him; and the whole earth shall be in His grip on the day of resurrection and the heavens rolled up in His right hand; glory be to Him, and may He be exalted above what they associate (with Him).
39:68 And the trumpet shall be blown, so all those that are in the heavens and all those that are in the earth shall swoon, except such as Allah please; then it shall be blown again, then lo! they shall stand up awaiting.
39:69 And the earth shall beam with the light of its Lord, and the Book shall be laid down, and the prophets and the witnesses shall be brought up, and judgment shall be given between them with justice, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly.
39:70 And every soul shall be paid back fully what it has done, and He knows best what they do.
39:71 And those who disbelieve shall be driven to hell in companies; until, when they come to it, its doors shall be opened, and the keepers of it shall say to them: Did not there come to you apostles from among you reciting to you the communications of your Lord and warning you of the meeting of this day of yours? They shall say: Yea! But the sentence of punishment was due against the unbelievers.
39:72 It shall be said: Enter the gates of hell to abide therein; so evil is the abode of the proud.
39:73 And those who are careful of (their duty to) their Lord shall be conveyed to the garden in companies; until when they come to it, and its doors shall be opened, and the keepers of it shall say to them: Peace be on you, you shall be happy; therefore enter it to abide.
39:74 And they shall say: (All) praise is due to Allah, Who has made good to us His promise, and He has made us inherit the land; we may abide in the garden where we please; so goodly is the reward of the workers.
39:75 And you shall see the angels going round about the throne glorifying the praise of their Lord; and judgment shall be given between them with justice, and it shall be said: All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

Chapter 20: Surah Ta-Ha - Sheikh Abdul Rahman Sudais

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
20:1 Ta Ha.
20:2 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful.
20:3 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears:
20:4 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens.
20:5 The Beneficent God is firm in power.
20:6 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground.
20:7 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden.
20:8 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names.
20:9 And has the story of Musa come to you?
20:10 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire.
20:11 So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa:
20:12 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa,
20:13 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed:
20:14 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but 1, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance:
20:15 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives:
20:16 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish;
20:17 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa!
20:18 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it.
20:19 He said: Cast it down, O Musa!
20:20 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running.
20:21 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state:
20:22 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign:
20:23 That We may show you of Our greater signs:
20:24 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits.
20:25 He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me,
20:26 And make my affair easy to me,
20:27 And loose the knot from my tongue,
20:28 (That) they may understand my word;
20:29 And give to me an aider from my family:
20:30 Haroun, my brother,
20:31 Strengthen my back by him,
20:32 And associate him (with me) in my affair,
20:33 So that we should glorify Thee much,
20:34 And remember Thee oft.
20:35 Surely, Thou art seeing us.
20:36 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa
20:37 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time;
20:38 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed;
20:39 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes;
20:40 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa.
20:41 And I have chosen you for Myself:
20:42 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me;
20:43 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate;
20:44 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear.
20:45 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate.
20:46 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see.
20:47 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance;
20:48 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back.
20:49 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa?
20:50 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal).
20:51 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations?
20:52 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget;
20:53 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs.
20:54 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding.
20:55 From it We created you and into it We shall send you back and from it will We raise you a second time.
20:56 And truly We showed him Our signs, all of them, but he rejected and refused.
20:57 Said he: Have you come to us that you should turn us out of our land by your magic, O Musa?
20:58 So we too will produce before you magic like it, therefore make between us and you an appointment, which we should not break, (neither) we nor you, (in) a central place.
20:59 (Musa) said: Your appointment is the day of the Festival and let the people be gathered together in the early forenoon.
20:60 So Firon turned his back and settled his plan, then came.
20:61 Musa said to them: Woe to you! do not forge a lie against Allah, lest He destroy you by a punishment, and he who forges (a lie) indeed fails to attain (his desire).
20:62 So they disputed with one another about their affair and kept the discourse secret.
20:63 They said: These are most surely two magicians who wish to turn you out from your land by their magic and to take away your best traditions.
20:64 Therefore settle your plan, then come standing in ranks and he will prosper indeed this day who overcomes.
20:65 They said: O Musa! will you cast, or shall we be the first who cast down?
20:66 He said: Nay! cast down. then lo! their cords and their rods-- it was imaged to him on account of their magic as if they were running.
20:67 So Musa conceived in his mind a fear.
20:68 We said: Fear not, surely you shall be the uppermost,
20:69 And cast down what is in your right hand; it shall devour what they have wrought; they have wrought only the plan of a magician, and the magician shall not be successful wheresoever he may come from.
20:70 And the magicians were cast down making obeisance; they said: We believe in the Lord of Haroun and Musa.
20:71 (Firon) said: You believe in him before I give you leave; most surely he is the chief of you who taught you enchantment, therefore I will certainly cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will certainly crucify you on the trunks of the palm trees, and certainly you will come to know which of us is the more severe and the more abiding in chastising.
20:72 They said: We do not prefer you to what has come to us of clear arguments and to He Who made us, therefore decide what you are going to decide; you can only decide about this world's life.
20:73 Surely we believe in our Lord that He may forgive us our sins and the magic to which you compelled us; and Allah is better and more abiding.
20:74 Whoever comes to his Lord (being) guilty, for him is surely hell; he shall not die therein, nor shall he live.
20:75 And whoever comes to Him a believer (and) he has done good deeds indeed, these it is who shall have the high ranks,
20:76 The gardens of perpetuity, beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein; and this is the reward of him who has purified himself.
20:77 And certainly We revealed to Musa, saying: Travel by night with My servants, then make for them a dry path in the sea, not fearing to be overtaken, nor being afraid.
20:78 And Firon followed them with his armies, so there came upon them of the sea that which came upon them.
20:79 And Firon led astray his people and he did not guide (them) aright.
20:80 O children of Israel! indeed We delivered you from your enemy, and We made a covenant with you on the blessed side of the mountain, and We sent to you the manna and the quails.
20:81 Eat of the good things We have given you for sustenance, and be not inordinate with respect to them, lest My wrath should be due to you, and to whomsoever My wrath is due be shall perish indeed.
20:82 And most surely I am most Forgiving to him who repents and believes and does good, then continues to follow the right direction.
20:83 And what caused you to hasten from your people, O Musa?
20:84 He said: They are here on my track and I hastened on to Thee, my Lord, that Thou mightest be pleased.
20:85 He said: So surely We have tried your people after you, and the Samiri has led them astray.
20:86 So Musa returned to his people wrathful, sorrowing. Said he: O my people! did not your Lord promise you a goodly promise: did then the time seem long to you, or did you wish that displeasure from your Lord should be due to you, so that you broke (your) promise to me?
20:87 They said: We did not break (our) promise to you of our own accord, but we were made to bear the burdens of the ornaments of the people, then we made a casting of them, and thus did the Samiri suggest.
20:88 So he brought forth for them a calf, a (mere) body, which had a mooing sound, so they said: This is your god and the god of Musa, but he forgot.
20:89 What! could they not see that it did not return to them a reply, and (that) it did not control any harm or benefit for them?
20:90 And certainly Haroun had said to them before: O my people! you are only tried by it, and surely your Lord is the Beneficent God, therefore follow me and obey my order.
20:91 They said: We will by no means cease to keep to its worship until Musa returns to us.
20:92 (Musa) said: O Haroun! what prevented you, when you saw them going astray,
20:93 So that you did not follow me? Did you then disobey my order?
20:94 He said: O son of my mother! seize me not by my beard nor by my head; surely I was afraid lest you should say: You have caused a division among the children of Israel and not waited for my word.
20:95 He said: What was then your object, O Samiri?
20:96 He said: I saw (Jibreel) what they did not see, so I took a handful (of the dust) from the footsteps of the messenger, then I threw it in the casting; thus did my soul commend to me
20:97 He said: Begone then, surely for you it will be in this life to say, Touch (me) not; and surely there is a threat for you, which shall not be made to fail to you, and look at your god to whose worship you kept (so long); we will certainly burn it, then we will certainly scatter it a (wide) scattering in the sea.
20:98 Your God is only Allah, there is no god but He; He comprehends all things in (His) knowledge.
20:99 Thus do We relate to you (some) of the news of what has gone before; and indeed We have given to you a Reminder from Ourselves.
20:100 Whoever turns aside from it, he shall surely bear a burden on the day of resurrection
20:101 Abiding in this (state), and evil will it be for them to bear on the day of resurrection;
20:102 On the day when the trumpet shall be blown, and We will gather the guilty, blue-eyed, on that day
20:103 They shall consult together secretly: You did tarry but ten (centuries).
20:104 We know best what they say, when the fairest of them in course would say: You tarried but a day.
20:105 And they ask you about the mountains. Say: My Lord will carry them away from the roots.
20:106 Then leave it a plain, smooth level
20:107 You shall not see therein any crookedness or unevenness.
20:108 On that day they shall follow the inviter, there is no crookedness in him, and the voices shall be low before the Beneficent God so that you shall not hear aught but a soft sound.
20:109 On that day shall no intercession avail except of him whom the Beneficent God allows and whose word He is pleased with.
20:110 He knows what is before them and what is behind them, while they do not comprehend it in knowledge.
20:111 And the faces shall be humbled before the Living, the Self-subsistent God, and he who bears iniquity is indeed a failure.
20:112 And whoever does good works and he is a believer, he shall have no fear of injustice nor of the withholding of his due.
20:113 And thus have We sent it down an Arabic Quran, and have distinctly set forth therein of threats that they may guard (against evil) or that it may produce a reminder for them.
20:114 Supremely exalted is therefore Allah, the King, the Truth, and do not make haste with the Quran before its revelation is made complete to you and say: O my Lord ! increase me in knowledge.
20:115 And certainly We gave a commandment to Adam before, but he forgot; and We did not find in him any determination.
20:116 And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam, they made obeisance, but Iblis (did it not); he refused.
20:117 So We said: O Adam! This is an enemy to you and to your wife; therefore let him not drive you both forth from the garden so that you should be unhappy;
20:118 Surely it is (ordained) for you that you shall not be hungry therein nor bare of clothing;
20:119 And that you shall not be thirsty therein nor shall you feel the heat of the sun.
20:120 But the Shaitan made an evil suggestion to him; he said: O Adam! Shall I guide you to the tree of immortality and a kingdom which decays not?
20:121 Then they both ate of it, so their evil inclinations became manifest to them, and they both began to cover themselves with leaves of the garden, and Adam disobeyed his Lord, so his life became evil (to him).
20:122 Then his Lord chose him, so He turned to him and guided (him).
20:123 He said: Get forth you two therefrom, all (of you), one of you (is) enemy to another. So there will surely come to you guidance from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, he shall not go astray nor be unhappy;
20:124 And whoever turns away from My reminder, his shall be a straitened life, and We will raise him on the day of resurrection, blind.
20:125 He shall say: My Lord! why hast Thou raised me blind and I was a seeing one indeed?
20:126 He will say: Even so, Our communications came to you but you neglected them; even thus shall you be forsaken this day.
20:127 And thus do We recompense him who is extravagant and does not believe in the communications of his Lord, and certainly the chastisement of the hereafter is severer and more
20:128 Does it not then direct them aright how many of the generations In whose dwelling-places they go about We destroyed before them? Most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding.
20:129 And had there not been a word (that had) already gone forth from your Lord and an appointed term, it would surely have been made to cleave (to them).
20:130 Bear then patiently what they say, and glorify your Lord by the praising of Him before the rising of the sun and before its setting, and during hours of the night do also glorify (Him) and during parts of the day, that you may be well pleased
20:131 And do not stretch your eyes after that with which We have provided different classes of them, (of) the splendor of this world's life, that We may thereby try them; and the sustenance (given) by your Lord is better and more abiding.
20:132 And enjoin prayer on your followers, and steadily adhere to it; We do not ask you for subsistence; We do give you subsistence, and the (good) end is for guarding (against evil).
20:133 And they say: Why does he not bring to us a sign from his Lord? Has not there come to them a clear evidence of what is m the previous books?
20:134 And had We destroyed them with chastisement before this, they would certainly have said: O our Lord! why didst Thou not send to us an apostle, for then we should have followed Thy communications before that we met disgrace and shame.
20:135 Say: Every one (of us) is awaiting, therefore do await: So you will come to know who is the follower of the even path and who goes aright.

Chapter 56: Surah Al Waqiah - Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Sudais

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
56:1 When the great event comes to pass,
56:2 There is no belying its coming to pass--
56:3 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other),
56:4 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking,
56:5 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling,
56:6 So that they shall be as scattered dust.
56:7 And you shall be three sorts.
56:8 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand!
56:9 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand!
56:10 And the foremost are the foremost,
56:11 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah),
56:12 In the gardens of bliss.
56:13 A numerous company from among the first,
56:14 And a few from among the latter.
56:15 On thrones decorated,
56:16 Reclining on them, facing one another.
56:17 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age,
56:18 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink;
56:19 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted,
56:20 And fruits such as they choose,
56:21 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire.
56:22 And pure, beautiful ones,
56:23 The like of the hidden pearls:
56:24 A reward for what they used to do.
56:25 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse,
56:26 Except the word peace, peace.
56:27 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand!
56:28 Amid thornless lote-trees,
56:29 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another.
56:30 And extended shade,
56:31 And water flowing constantly,
56:32 And abundant fruit,
56:33 Neither intercepted nor forbidden,
56:34 And exalted thrones.
56:35 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth,
56:36 Then We have made them virgins,
56:37 Loving, equals in age,
56:38 For the sake of the companions of the right hand.
56:39 A numerous company from among the first,
56:40 And a numerous company from among the last.
56:41 And those of the left hand, how wretched are those of the left hand!
56:42 In hot wind and boiling water,
56:43 And the shade of black smoke,
56:44 Neither cool nor honorable.
56:45 Surely they were before that made to live in ease and plenty.
56:46 And they persisted in the great violation.
56:47 And they used to say: What! when we die and have become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised?
56:48 Or our fathers of yore?
56:49 Say: The first and the last,
56:50 Shall most surely be gathered together for the appointed hour of a known day.
56:51 Then shall you, O you who err and call it a lie!
56:52 Most surely eat of a tree of Zaqqoom,
56:53 And fill (your) bellies with it;
56:54 Then drink over it of boiling water;
56:55 And drink as drinks the thirsty camel.
56:56 This is their entertainment on the day of requital.
56:57 We have created you, why do you not then assent?
56:58 Have you considered the seed?
56:59 Is it you that create it or are We the creators?
56:60 We have ordained death among you and We are not to be overcome,
56:61 In order that We may bring in your place the likes of you and make you grow into what you know not.
56:62 And certainly you know the first growth, why do you not then mind?
56:63 Have you considered what you sow?
56:64 Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the causers of growth?
56:65 If We pleased, We should have certainly made it broken down into pieces, then would you begin tb lament:
56:66 Surely we are burdened with debt:
56:67 Nay! we are deprived.
56:68 Have you considered the water which you drink?
56:69 Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders?
56:70 If We pleased, We would have made it salty; why do you not then give thanks?
56:71 Have you considered the fire which you strike?
56:72 Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers?
56:73 We have made it a reminder and an advantage for the wayfarers of the desert.
56:74 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.
56:75 But nay! I swear by the falling of stars;
56:76 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew;
56:77 Most surely it is an honored Quran,
56:78 In a book that is protected
56:79 None shall touch it save the purified ones.
56:80 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds.
56:81 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt?
56:82 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence.
56:83 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat,
56:84 And you at that time look on--
56:85 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see--
56:86 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority--
56:87 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful?
56:88 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah),
56:89 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss.
56:90 And if he is one of those on the right hand,
56:91 Then peace to you from those on the right hand.
56:92 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones,
56:93 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water,
56:94 And burning in hell.
56:95 Most surely this is a certain truth.
56:96 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.
