DOHA • The Quranic Garden project sponsored jointly by the Unesco and the Qatar Foundation will be opened soon. This was announced by Dr Saif Al Hajari, chairman of the Friends of Environment Center (FEC) at the Ramadan Tent on Monday. Ramadan Tent at FEC, dubbed the Green Tent, concluded with a discussion on the Quranic Garden project. Al Hajari said the proposed project would provide an opportunity for experts to conduct scientific researches. Besides, it will be a destination for visitors to Qatar to enjoy the diversity of traditional plants and herbs, including those mentioned in the Holy Quran. Other speakers at the function included Mohamed Al Sairafi and Dr Kamal Al-Nabtoni. - (The Peninsula, 3 Oct 07)
